ABOUT US
Meet Our Team

Our mission at Regain Pelvic Physical Therapy is to empower our patients to regain control of their lives by providing expert, compassionate care. We strive to debunk myths surrounding pelvic health issues, such as incontinence and chronic pain being normal parts of aging, and offer effective, evidence-based treatments. Our goal is not only to alleviate symptoms but also to address the root causes of pelvic dysfunction, enabling our patients to enjoy a life free from pain and limitation.

I grew up in Newton County and have been practicing as a physical therapist in the Meridian area for the last 31 years. I graduated from The University of Mississippi Medical Center in 1993 with a B.S. in Physical Therapy and completed my Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2018. My pelvic health training was obtained through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehab Institute.

I am a Certified Assistive Technology Professional specializing in seating and mobility, and I have presented this topic at a national level for the American Physical Therapy Association. Additionally, I am a Geriatric Clinical Specialist certified by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and a Credentialed Clinical Instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association. Currently, I am serving my second term as Vice President of the Mississippi Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association.

My husband, John Massey, a native of Meridian, is an Occupational Therapist for the Department of Veterans Affairs. We are proud residents of Collinsville, and our three children, Drew, Anna Kate, and Lauren, attended West Lauderdale schools. It is my sincere hope to provide the highest quality of care to patients experiencing pelvic pain and dysfunction, helping them to regain the life they want to lead.

Michalle E. Massey, PT, DPT, ATP, GCS, CCI

I am a lifelong resident of Meridian and Bailey, MS, and an active member of the St. Patrick and St. Joseph Catholic Community. After graduating from Meridian High School, I spent 30 years in the automotive industry before pursuing a new path in healthcare. I returned to Meridian Community College and graduated with high honors from the Registered Health Information Technology program in 2011. For the past 12 years, I worked at a local surgery center before joining Regain Pelvic Physical Therapy.

Throughout my career, I have been deeply involved in community service, volunteering with organizations like Make-A-Wish, the Alzheimer’s Association, and local animal rescue groups, as well as participating in Diabetes Awareness programs. I treasure spending time with family and friends, and I have a passion for travel, particularly to the Smoky Mountains and the beach. A life-long learner, I enjoy reading, researching, and spending as much time as possible in nature, whether it’s working in my yard, hiking, or just relaxing by the pool.

I am thrilled to join Regain and excited about the opportunity to contribute to our patients’ health and well-being. I look forward to helping our community manage and overcome their pelvic health challenges, and I am eager to make a positive impact in my new role.
